Background
This premium residence in Mumbai was designed with great attention to finishes,colours and materials, so any technology in the home had to match. The homeownerswanted smart lighting, motorized curtains and secure access across the living room,dining room, master suite, bedrooms and den. Standard switch panels were not an option.Every keypad and socket had to complement the interior palette of its room. Along withdesign, the family wanted reliable WiFi throughout the home, cameras in key areas andfingerprint access at the main entrance and private spaces.

The design brief was clear: the technology had to match the walls. Ekinex keypads werefitted with custom-engraved rockers and deep Fenix NTM plates in three finishes, BeaverOttawa, Grey Bromine and Black Ingo, each chosen to suit its room. They sit alongsideLegrand Magnesium sockets so every switchboard in the home looks the same.
Behind the keypads, a Crestron 4-Series processor runs lighting, dimming and DALIfixtures across the living room, master suite, bedrooms, den and dining room. Somfymotorized curtains in the living and dining rooms respond to scenes with one touch.Motion sensors in every bathroom switch lighting automatically, so nobody has to look fora switch at night.
The main entrance has Ekey fingerprint access with an ASSA ABLOY electric strike, andthe master bathroom has biometric-controlled magnetic locks. UniFi cameras cover thefoyer, kitchen and bedrooms. WiFi 6 access points in every major room are managedthrough a UniFi Cloud Key, giving the family fast, reliable coverage across the home.
