Our Biggest Smart Home Yet: A Six-Storey Mansion
A full six-level family home in Nagpur, from the ground floor to the spa and gym on the fifth, with music in 31 indoor and 2 outdoor zones, a home theatre, and lighting, curtains, climate and security on one system. This is the largest residential project we have delivered, and it won Residential Villa Smart Home Integration at the Smart Space Awards 2023, presented by Havells and IIID.
Project Overview
This family home in Nagpur rises over six levels, and every one of them is wired into the same system. The project was recognised with the Smart Space Awards 2023 for Residential Villa Smart Home Integration, presented by Havells and IIID. Music can play differently in each of 31 indoor zones and 2 outdoor zones at once. The home theatre is on the third floor, a meeting room with a video bar sits on the ground floor, and the top floor holds the spas, gym and jacuzzi.
Lighting, curtains, fans, geysers and air conditioning are controlled through KNX and Savant, with matching brass-finish keypads on every floor.

Audio
- 31 indoor zones and 2 outdoor zones plus a standalone soundbar
- 64 indoor speakers and 13 subwoofers: 52 Gray Sound C40, 8 Gray Sound C50 Pro, 13 Gray Sound S80, 2 James QX320M in the jacuzzi, 2 Near LB-4B weatherproof speakers in the gym
- 12 Savant music servers so different music can play in different rooms at once
- AudioControl multi-zone amplifiers and Near outdoor speaker systems with a DSP amplifier
Home Theatre
- 3 James BE806 left, centre and right speakers, 2 James QXC620R in-ceiling speakers and 2 James QX530 surround speakers
- 2 James QX1010 in-wall subwoofers
- AudioControl Concert XR4 processor with Dirac Live, Pantages G4 and RS-1000 amplification
- Vicoustic acoustic panels and diffusers
Video
- 20 TVs across the floors, with Apple TV 4K
- 3 motorised TV lifts: one 65-inch inverted ceiling lift and two Tono TL75 pop-up lifts
- Poly Studio video bar in the ground-floor meeting room
Automation
- Savant controller and 8 Savant remotes (home automation)
- KNX modules from Panasonic and Eelectron, with an Ekinex IP interface and CoolMasterNet for AC
- 72 Ekinex keypads and 26 AC keypads with 85 matching brass-finish plates
- 219 lighting circuits, 47 motorised curtains and blinds, 53 fans and 21 geysers
WiFi and Networking
- 25 indoor and 3 outdoor Ubiquiti WiFi access points (networking and WiFi)
- Ubiquiti PoE switching with a fibre backbone, three equipment racks and OvrC remote monitoring
- SurgeX surge protection
Security and Access
- About 30 Ubiquiti UniFi cameras (smart security)
- DoorBird door stations at the ground-floor main door and a stainless-steel station with a built-in Ekey fingerprint reader
- 13 Ekey Integra fingerprint scanners (1 on the ground floor and 4 each on floors one to three) opening 31 electric locks
