Background
A new residence in Mumbai was being designed with a clear vision: a modern, elegant home where technology would improve daily living without competing with the interiors. The homeowners wanted their living room to work as a relaxed lounge during the day and a full-scale cinema at night, with no visible screens or speakers spoiling the space. Beyond entertainment, they wanted intelligent lighting, climate control, biometric access and seamless WiFi across the master suite and three bedrooms. Every system had to be controlled simply, reliably and from one platform.

The living room was designed to be a lounge by day and a cinema by night. A true 4K ultrashort throw projector drops from the ceiling on a Tono projector lift, and a 120" ScreenInnovations motorized screen descends in front of it. Concealed Gray Sound in-ceilingspeakers and subwoofers fill the room without adding a single box to the décor. The sameaudio experience extends to the balcony, and the master bedroom has a Sonos Arc forDolby Atmos sound.
Every room is controlled from an Ekinex Signum touch display keypad set in a Fenix NTMBlack Ingo plate. From these keypads the homeowner can control lighting scenes, airconditioning and music. The whole home runs on a Savant Smart Host working with a KNXand DALI backbone. CoolMasterNet brings the air conditioning onto the same platform,and motion sensors in the passage and lift lobby switch lights on and off automatically.
Security and connectivity were built in from the start. The entrances and the masterwardrobe have Ekey biometric access, a DoorBird video door phone covers the main door,and UniFi cameras watch the kitchen, balcony and lift lobby. WiFi 6 access points coverevery room. Everything is housed in a ventilated Middle Atlantic rack with SurgeX powerprotection and OvrC remote monitoring, so the team can support the system withoutvisiting the home.
