The Savant smart home system has rich features. It has a sleek user interface that promises a smooth user experience. One of the best features of a Savant home automation system is user profiles. The Profiles screen shows a list of who can use your Savant Home. It also helps each family member have easy and fast access to their favorite devices and scenes. The Savant App displays three types of profiles: Guest, Household and Admin. Creating and managing user profiles is super easy. You can adjust settings to add control restrictions, grant temporary control and so much more.
Guest Users:
A Guest profile can be created (for babysitters, friends etc) to provide certain users limited access to services and rooms. A Guest user will have access only while within your Savant Home. You can also restrict this user’s access to certain rooms, services, and scenes. Click here to know how to set privileges for a user.
Household User:
A Household user can be given both local and remote access to your Savant Home. Optionally, you can restrict this user’s access to certain Rooms, Services, and Scenes.
Admin Users:
An Admin user has complete control over the Savant App and all the features of your Savant Home. They can also have remote access for monitoring and controlling devices and Scenes. Additionally, an Admin user can create and manage other profiles.
Steps to create a Savant user profile
- On the home view of the Savant, tap the menu icon in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Select the profiles icon in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Tap the plus sign (+) in the upper right corner of the screen.
The Savant App displays panels showing the three types of profiles available: Guest, Household, or Admin. Swipe right to see the other panels. - Tap Select on the panel of the type of profile you want to create.
- Tap the Email field and type the email address of the person for whom you are creating the profile.
- Tap Send Invite. Savant sends an email invitation to the address you entered.
Note: The user whose email address you entered receives an invitation to create a password for his or her new Savant account.
Notifications can be sent to users alerting them about their devices at home. Savant lets you stay up to date with everything that’s going on at home, no matter where you are. Based on your requirement, user Savant user profiles can be created to provide users with partial or complete control of their smart home remotely.
