We have had the pleasure of working with a lot of Projector Brands throughout our installations. JVC, Sim2, Sony, Epson, Viewsonic, just to name a few. But one brand which really stands out are the Panasonic Home Cinema Projectors. With amazing contrast ratios, good brightness even in rooms with ambient light and a superbly vivid picture quality, Panasonic is our first choice when suggesting a projector for any installation we take on.

Whether you are creating a Dedicated Cinema Room or just want to watch the match on your big screen in the living room, Panasonic is one of the few companies who can deliver the full package. Although they have a large lineup of projectors, the two models we use most in our installations are the Panasonic PT-AR100U and the PT-AE8000U.

The PT-AR100U is a perfect option for someone looking at a Full HD 1080P Projector but does not require 3D. With a 50,000:1 Contrast Ratio and 2800 Ansi Lumens Brightness this projector is perfect for any multi-purpose room. It delivers a sharp 1080P image which is high in contrast an almost perfectly color balanced right out of the box. When placed in a darkened Home Cinema Room the Panasonic AR-100U manages to pack a real punch with its solid contrast and deep black levels. The image is sharp and detailed and Panasonic uses its Light Harmonizer technology to adjust color to compensate for room lighting conditions. One of our favorite features included is the 2:0:1 manual zoom lens and vertical and horizontal lens shift. This makes mounting the projector and the correctly placing the viewing image on the screen a breeze to set up.

The AR-100U’s big brother, the Panasonic PT-AE8000U is a best in class in our opinion. It’s extremely easy to set up and like the AR-100U comes almost perfectly color balanced directly out of the box. The image quality is so real and life like you feel immersed in the scene as though you are viewing it live. With its 500,000:1 Contrast Ratio and 2400 Ansi Lumens of brightness this projector has managed to wow every customer we have installed it for. Dynamic Range and Black Levels are significantly improved in the PT-AE8000U over its predecessors and Panasonic’s Detail Clarity Processor helps us appreciate even the tiniest details in the viewing image.  The PT-AE8000U is also supports Full HD 1080P 3D content which can be seen by wearing the Panasonic TY-EW3D3 Active 3D Glasses.

Technology keeps improving and new and more innovative products continue to hit the market every few months. But just once in a while do you come across a product which can transcend the time clock technology puts it under and manages to outperform its competitors for years to come. We have witnessed this with these two models of Panasonic Projects and we would highly recommend you give them a try if you are considering a projector for your residential or commercial requirements.
